realflight g3 downloads

just purchased g3 and looking for some downloads,planes, schemes, fields if anyone knows of any good sites it would be appreciated.
having fun on g3.

Plane schemes are downloadable, however unless you purchase an addon volume, no new planes will be available. They are going to release a patch for 3Dmax and from that you will see people building and sharing lots of planes. The next patch will also have photo realistic fields

WOW flight sims have come A LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG way. I remember the first one I ever seen/used and dad got,the planes were box looking and only about 4 I think.The background was a texted layer no fancy backgrounds and now looks like a real model flying and you have a mini van in the background also WOW. I just wish I had a computor that would run one of those fancy Sims. They make them where you have to have a $2,000 computor to run them.

I wasn't aware of the the photo realistic patch. Is this going to be free?
I just got G3, and it would be nice to have slighlty better field graphics, not that they are bad, but the photo generated ones are much more cool.
Having plenty of fun with it. Crashing the heck out of planes at no cost, and finding other games hidden inside the simulator. One of those it target practice. You take the flying wing and target the guy about 100' away from launch, at the fun fly field

It is free. Version 3.0.430 contains the photofields as well as the ability to import other peoples Gx3 files.

Double click the RealFlight G3 Launcher on the desktop.

On the Launcher, click Additional Options.

Click on the Registration/Update button.

The Online Update allows you to update to the latest software version or update to a specific version. You can also choose to check Check for updates before starting RealFlight. This option will look for updates one time each day RealFlight is run and automatically update the software if a new version is available.

Weird thing is some of the planes dont register in the game, when i click on change aircraft and select the plane it crashes, once i remove that plane out of the folder the game is ok...

It seems G3X files dont register at all and PLNG3 files make the game crash! any ideas?? maybe rename the file extensions

Do you know which planes did work?
I'm real afraid of messing with this stuff, but would like more planes.

Ya Me ytoo - some of the downloads work and some don't - I'm on the latest version - I have addons 3,4,5 and the new #1 - how can I add new photo fields - where would I find them?

One of the problems that I ran into was that if a plane you want to download is modeled on a plane in an add-on that you don't have, it won't work. The folks offering the download should say upfront which add-ons are required. I don't think RFMODELS tells you.... some of the others do tell you. I downloaded several planes that didn't work. Just a waste of everyone's time. If I remember right, I downloaded some a while ago that didn't work until I changed the file name. Just play with it. When you totally mess it up, like I did, just delete all data files you imported and reload the software.
