Default Walkera QR X350 Pro Battery

Hi Everyone - great to be a part of the forums
I have a QR X350 Pro coming which has a 11.1v 5200mAh battery included (well two in fact) and comes with the standard charger which looks to me to be a pretty basic one with 0.8A output.
In my mind charging a 5200 at 0.8A will take forever (or 6.5 hours by my calculations!?)
Does anyone have one of these and if so what do you charge it with and at what rate / how long does it take
If anyone is interested I can do a review of it once i get it - hopefully in the next couple of days .. it has the Devo 10, G2D Gimbal and an iLook camera included so once i get some goggles I will be able to go FPV - can't wait!
Thanks for any information.
Mark

Hi Mark,

I don't have any experience of that particular LiPo but to a large extent LiPos are LiPos. It will for 100% sure be fine to charge it at '1c' which in this case would be 5.2 Amps. Almost all LiPos these days are also ok to charge at up to 2c which would be 10.4amps. some are suitable for even higher charge rates.

If you had a powerful enough charger you could also use a parallel charge board and charge them together.

There are many choices of charger, a basic 50W type such as the B6 or Accucell 6 would be 'ok' but would be limited to about 4amps output on a 3s battery, so would take a while to charge more than one battery. Personally I'd go for something more like this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...e_Charger.html which is still a reasonable price but would do up to 20Amp charging, plus it's an all round far superior charger, it will balance the battery much quicker and also discharge much quicker to storage voltage (don't store batteries fully charged by the way).

A review would be interesting.

5200 mah is a big battery for eight inch props to carry. Are you sure on the battery size? Walkera's site shows the battery as a 2200mah. Please let us know.

It is a big battery but it's the standard battery in the QRX350 Pro:http://www.walkera.com/en/showgoods.php?id=2578

You were probably looking at the non-Pro version

Thanks everyone - yes it is the Pro with the larger battery and claimed 25 minute flying time (though that is without the gimbal and camera attached)
I have two IMAX B6 chargers and was thinking it would be best to use those, I was just concerned if there was anything special about this Walkera battery as they supply it with such a low output charger but as has been said "a LiPo is a Lipo" so I guess it will be fine.
If I get the chance i will do a review and maybe post some video from the iLook camera - I am interested to see what the quality of this camera is - supposed to be 720p but i want an idea so that I know how good the FPV will be as it has a built in 5.6GHz Tx.
Hopefully being shipped today so should have it all tomorrow!!
