Default HobbyKing back order question

I was interested in the Orange rx Transmitter. It's only $64 bucks on their site and I thought I'd give it a shot, but it's ALWAYS on back order. Every time I go on there to check on it the dang thing is on back order. Doesn't matter if it's the USA/Canada warehouse or the global warehouse. How do you run a business like that?

What was I thinking?

Yeah
Sure can't beat the price!

Out of curiosity, does this Orange transmitter have the Spektrum "Model Match" feature

I'm not sure in this case, but it may mean that demand is so high that they can't fill all the back orders and still have any left to put on the shelf, so to speak.

I have in the past ordered something that was shown as back ordered, I only had the one item on the order.
My order was filled and shipped, about 2 weeks later. The item didn't show as in stock until about 2 months later. I had received my order a month before that.

I believe that HobbyKing is the biggest online hobby store in the world, and that creates it's own set of problems.

Put it in your 'wish list' and you will get an email when it comes back in stock.

seems all the good stuff is on "backorder"

like JetPlaneFlyer posted, ask for an email reminder for when it comes back in stock

nothing to it, but to do it !

Not good stuff always. When I was attempting to repair my durafly spitfire, I wanted to order it all at once. Well first the wing wasn't available, waited, and when it was other parts weren't. Finally it all was available, only to discover it couldn't be shipped in one box, yet the whole plane came in one box.
