I had an idea about how to do this for the computer stupid like me. One of my buddies is still very active in scale plastic modeling. He copied some 1/48 lozenge decals blown up to 1/22 scale for my Pfalz. I have some great Crane tissue left over from an over-run of my daughter's wedding invites, sheets are about 7x9". I glued these to a carrier sheet of regular 8x10 paper with a thin bead of Elmer's white glue. at the top. Let it set, print, cut tissue from carrier sheet; viola!
I printed the tissue on an HP 6700 inkjet printer. It is very colorfast and did not run at all when wet after application. Incidentally in the photo the bottom camo tissue is shown although applied to the upper surface of a test wing. Best results were: sticking it down with UHU stick, allow to dry, trim, wet with atomizer, apply clear dope thinned 50/50, let dry, apply Krystal Kleer matte spray.
I know 1/32 lozenge decal stock is also available. You might check the Squadron Shop site for decals to copy.
