Default My First FPV with PZ Sport Cub

Well I am a total Noob to all this FPV stuff but I am getting the jist of it. I ordered Fat Shark TELEPORTER V3 and popped on my Sport Cub. The camera was terrible its fair at best. I had a real hard time because it took so long for the camera lens to adjust to the lighting. All ground looked green and objects such as buildings were wash white. The video does not explain how bad the camera really is because it recorded fairly well. At times you can see the dark green come over the ground. Also need to get rid of the jello effect. Overall the experience was Amazing and I already ordered a better camera and better antenna unfortunately I will lose the ability to record with the new camera. I will just have to mount my Mobius next to the FPV cam. I would love to hear your thoughts and or advice to improve

Happy flying may your crashes be limited and if they are not limited let them be cool.

Good job Fish Hey, any landing you can walk away from, is a Good landing LOL, To Help with the jello affect, balance your prop real good, and mount your camera in sponge foam rubber, put a band aid over the mic on the camera to help filter the noise, hope that helps, Chellie

I may be getting Older, But I Refuse to grow Up I am Having to much Fun to Grow Up LOL

Well done. As you say, jello is a pain. I haven't suffered from that for some time now.
I have just dragged out my FPV gear from the 'big cardboard box' and decided to install it on my Phoenix 2000. I have done away with the OSD and GPS etc and all related wiring and now just have the TX and the camera. How clean is that! I have no intention of flying too far so do not need all that info. My Taranis tells me how high I am and how much battery power I have and that is all I need.
I didn't like using the monitor so everyone else watched that while I just flew LOS. However, I am going to get one of the Quanam Goggle Kits as from all reports they are fairly good. (and cheap)
I can't afford fancy ones.
I fitted an A lens to my 808 #16 cam and it gives me a much better perspective of distance, unlike the D lens. I have some SJ 4000 cams but just prefer the 808.
I modded my Phoenix so it will be ideal for LOS FPV. I just want to see those big fluffy clouds up close. LOL.
Keep us informed Fishbonez. Hope it all goes well for you.
