I'm looking for a source for a Gee Bee Z hopefully 56" span or larger.I don't want an R1 or R2....for some unknown reason the R1/R2 don't turn me on .....BUT I start to drool when I see a Z...I know Paige is supposed to have a kit, but it's currently unavailable..... Even a ( gasp/cough) ARF
would help me out.........Thanks........

Here's a 40" but I don't know what model it is.

I did a web search and came up with some Z sites that had plans for sale.

Try Model Aviation, December 1979. That issue can be viewed in the on-line archive. Featured is a 47-inch span Gee Bee Z by Granger Williams, and the plan is available as #282.

why thank you John........I will look that one up, maybe it could be enlarged some....I have my heart set on at least a 56" model, because the magic number 600 is what the sq. In. works out to for wing area...would be even better if I could squeak it up to 650, so maybe even a little larger than 56" might be in order. I may just have to draw my own plans if this doesn't work out, but I'm looking over the other side of the pond too, so I might have a chance. I have a friend who regularly imports stuff from the west side of the Pacific Ocean, and he's over there now on a buying trip.

I found this a few minutes ago. It is said to be a replica.
