View Full Version : A great Flying Weekend

Well other than going to a dear friends funeral Saturday afternoon it was an awesome weekend of flying.

We finally got around to joining the local club, Newport News RCR Club, and flew at the field fri, sat, and today! All total we got in about 30 flights.

Friday I managed to bend the nose gear back a bit on the airliner but was able to fix it ok, had one rough landing with the mustang and had to do a minor field repair to the control horn on it but other than that everything is intact!:D

My son got to fly his mustang finally and really did well with it. It is a lot twitchier than anything he's flown yet but he did really well, he had to fight it a time or two to keep control of it but managed to reel her back in and keep on trucking.

Today was the best day of all. Went out after church and had clear blue skies, about 65 degrees and absolutely no wind.

Boy am I beat now... need to get back to work tomorrow to get some rest!

Yeoww CG! That looks like it hurt! Great photos! We flew at the sod farm today and there were 9-10 guys out there at the same time. It was a beautiful day in West TN!

Sounds like you guys had a great weekend. It was absolutely beautiful here all weekend. Sunny and highs in the mid 70s. One minor problem was that we had 20 MPH WINDS ALL WEEKEND!!!!!! Four days off and didn't get to fly once.

P.S. Sorry about the fingers CG.
