By now most "Warbird" fans will know that GWS has released the (long awaited) P-38 Lightning in several versions, options include color scheme and powered/unpowered/brushless types.
Now here's another "Lightning", sort of. Easytiger has a thread here; http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12387 for the Enjoy Model International's "Fork Tail Devil" foam model and there's a thread on RCG, started Oct 2nd, 2006 by Shschon here; http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=577451&highlight=emi
This is a 1/15th scale model of the "Lightning", apparently re-named using the German nickname for the twin-boomed fighter, to avoid licensing problems with Lockheed. EMI's specs;
Wingspan 41.7 Inches
Length 20.9 Inches
Wing Area 232.5 Square Inches
Weight 21.2-30 Ounces
Control 4-6 Channel
The model is being sold and shipped to the U.S. by Infinity Hobby.com
for about $70.00 plus $20.00 S+H. Like the GWS version, there are unpainted and unpowered options. There are separate power systems available, including a package of 2 brushless motors with ESC for $99.00
So many planes, not enough time!
