View Full Version : Profile F-22 with Vectored Thrust

Before I go any farther I have to give credit to Dave Powers at RC SuperPowers for his fine designs and reasonably priced kits. :ws:

This plane is a modified version but still based on his F-22 kit. The fuse is two 6mm Depron parts with a C/F rod sandwiched between and a Little Screamer Purple Peril powering it on a TP-910 3 cell. I bought Dave's kit some time ago but haven't gotten around to building it just yet and thought I would try a profile first. This setup runs 3 servos with a pair of HS-55 under the wings and single HS-56 for the elevator.

For the test flight we had winds of 10mph but it handled them with ease and can even be pushed backwards under control. For more info on Dave's fine planes check out his site at http://www.rcpowers.com/index.htm

Hi Kosh :) Great video as always :) that plane flies really nice, I have daves kit too, and have not had the time to put it together yet, so much to do, and so little time to do it all in :) keep up the good work, and I think that I am going to make mine a profile too, its just easier to make it that way :) take care, Chellie

Thanks Chellie, I also made a mid motor version I have been using for combat and we got some great footage today I hope to share soon. ;-)

I tried to do a mid motor one. Attempted the maiden yesterday. It wouldn't turn left, and I had a CG issue. It is resting in pieces. But, I did get several test launches out of it.

Awesome video, and a sweet looking plane. I have saved that website so I can order one soon. Looks like a blast!

Thanks for sharing.
