Capt. Midnight: I posted the picture of your bomber in another thread a coupla' weeks ago. It's gorgeous. How did you resist pushing the throttle lever all the way forward when you were taxiing it?

[quote=Capt. Midnight;28485]Hi WaterBugs!

sure hope yours flys better than the original P6M. I spent many hours on the oringinal design and build of the rotating bomb bay door. sure was unique. it at rattled the buildings for a block everytime we drop tested the 2000 pound dummy bomb. itsure would be unique on a RC model. will be glad to help, would stretch the old brain. the rotating bomb door sure was unique. dick stamm

Interesting info, Dick...

So sad about that aircraft, it was/is gorgeous. I understand the problem was an elevator jack or something, destroying a couple of prototypes.

Very fine looking model Capt!

Dick, did they do the testing at the Middle River MD facility??

No we did the design and full scale mock up and test fixtures, drop test in Detroit,Mich., Hudson Motors. then the actual flight items also. did spend a lot of time in Baltimore in prep for flight tests.

Let us know how it goes!

That's just the problem- It doesn't go....

He has been posting pictures of this plane for years on R/C Groups. It has never flown ( to the best of my knowledge ).
