View Full Version : Punched in the Mosa II

On the morning of July 16th @ approx. 07:00 there was an incident involving a GWS Formosa II and the outfield grass...

Ripped off the front of the plane
Broke the prop (APC 10x10E first flight with it on)
Broke the elevator servo control arm
Ripped out two aileron hinges
Broke one rudder hinge

A couple cracks in the fuse and wing

Looking back I should have taken a few pictures at the crash site but I was in such shock and trying to figure out what stick movement I had made that.

All was going well in the flight until I linked together a couple of rolls. I think I might have been trying to compensate with some down elevator and forgot to release as she came back around. It all happened so fast it's still a blur.

WOW! It's fixable though. My Formosa ended it's life being more Gorilla Glue than GWS foam.
