 Has anyone converted this .60 sized pattern airplane as was described in a late last year issue of Model Airplane News ? Am considering this as a project and would be most appreciative of any conversion and/or flying suggestions. T.I.A.

Hi Rivanna,

Is this the one you are looking for ? ? . . has an AXI Outrunner mounted in it.

Thanks,Jeff for the info. However, I am looking for opinions about HL's .60 size Extra 300 . John E. Kaiser--AMA-1785

Rivanna, have you got a link for this particular model. The one I gave you is the 60 size extra from Hobby Lobby ? ? 63" span, 46" length ? ? Refer to this link. http://www.hobby-lobby.com/extra300.htm

Is there another one ? ? ?

Yes ,there is ----the "leki", which is a local version (not Walter Extra's stock model) modified by a German aerobatic pilot. Graupner has ARF versions for both. Model Airplane News did a feature article on this version in late 2005. I read it and am intrigued but I would like to hear from fellow modelers about their "real world" experience with this "300" version. Thanks for your interest. John E. Kaiser----AMA1785

Hmmm . . I'll check it out. Sounds interesting. I thought "Leki" was just cute terminology for "electric". Sorry, my mistake.

Thanks, Jeff for your response and info.! What I was looking for ,was a regular modeller's evaluation of this plane. Having been burned by vendor and magazine product reviews in the past,I was hoping to hear a "real world" assessment of the "Leki";)
