So I crashed a plane into a steel I-beam - little damage but a replaceable cowl (it is a PZ bird) - but during the teardown, I decided to strip the paint from it and go at it with a custom job.

Thing is, all of the military schemes have been done. I wanna do a commercial scheme, like a beer or something. Something that will stand out.

I need ideas. My co-worker suggested Jet-Puft Marshmallows, but he's a froot loop so I shot that down.

Right now it looks like I have a brand that I am leaning towards (it is a beer, thats all I'll say) - unless of course you brilliant peeps here at the Dubbyoo-Eff can top it with some ingenious idea...

Okay, let the brainstorming begin!

sponsor schemes are fun, but I wish you really would get paid for them....

I did Pepsi once, fairly patriotic with red/white/blue. Red bull is popular. Lucky strikes would be classic..... Yoo Hoo could be fun (not quite a beer)

Left hand brewery is popular around here (wonder why), would be an easy theme!

I think top of my list would be Red Stripe. Just because I think you could make it look nice on a plane.

I thought about doing a Fat Tire / New Belgium scheme, but honestly the logotype is not flexible enough. Red Bull - I would rather drink warm dip spit. Lucky Strike is good, or Camel (my brand), but I wanna stay away from white as the primary color. Now.. Red Stripe... that's a solid idea. I know white is the primary there, too... but like you said you could really make it work. Definitely in the running. The one I am thinking of now is primarily associated with green, and has strong logotype. And I drink it as often as I can afford to. ;-) And no, it is not that swill from Holland. :p>

I Dig the Guinness Boat - very nice. I can see it cutting through a rich, creamy brown wake lol

If you're going to turn your plane into a billboard, why not advertize something related to aircraft? Perhaps some aeronautical product out of the era the plane came from?

Well, for one thing it is the T-28, and the "era" is kinda long. It spans the Korean war, the dirty hippy time, the sexual revolution, watergate, and Iran-Contra.

I'm having trouble thinking of an aeronautical 'product' that fits the bill. And because I like beer so much, I think I've settled on Dos Equis. A good logo, a good beer, and it is somewhat local for me.

And thanks for the picture. I'd almost purged my mind of the horror of Steve Gutenberg's existence. Back to square one.
