Any one flying a Graupner Tipsy.....Took mind out before the big bizzard...always the calm before the storm:) .. any way had one for the wings rip off at the base as I abruptley tried to gain some altitude:eek: needless to say I totally lost control:mad: by the time it was over the plane was in three pieces....brought it home opened up the 5 minute expoy and now we ready for a second try:D . Any one else flying this machine???? Hobby Lobby says that these are great beginner machines....I don't know now that I ripped the wings off.

The wings are one of the weak points on the Tipsy. Otherwise a good flyer. What you'll want to do is get some 2" wide strapping tape (the post office sells it) and run a length of it from wingtip to wingtip. This will help strengthen the wing. You can also make carbon fiber strips up for reinforcement but in my book the tape is cheap and simple.
