Just starting to get into building again but this time using depron. New skill set needed but builds are faster and I like that. Last weekend I started a new build 'on the fly' using 3 views as a reference. I wanted a different tripe so I looked at German experimental planes that didn't go into production. Not sure if it will fly but I am having fun building again. next one will be from plans so parts go together as they should.

Had the maiden this morning. Lots of drag so the wind really blew it around. I didn't find much flight difference between 1/2 and full throttle. Still need to trim it properly but that will wait for a calm morning.
I finished up the plane this afternoon All that is missing is a spinner. I will have to try and make that as it is similar to an albatross spinner :
AUW 18oz
wing area 392 in
6.6oz sqft.

Looks good. It's an interesting plane. Got any links to photos of the real thing?

Sorry, I don't have any links. I have one picture and a 3-view in one of my books that I used.
It's a fun plane in the mornings, goes very slow and does nice flat turns within 10-12 feet circle. Once motor stops though it drops fast. lots of drag.
