View Full Version : Log Out doesn't Work

"Log Out" doesn't do anything.

It says "all cookies cleared", but they're not.

I can close the browser and restart it and go to WattFlyer and it will still say "Welcome spark", so the cookies have not been cleared!

Correction, it works with IE6 but does not work with Firefox 1.5

I'm on Firefox 1.07 and the log out works fine when I close the tab after logging out. Are you on 1.05 spark??

Hi Don,

No, I'm using Firefox version 1.5 and it must be a problem related to that
version. It still doesn't clear the cookies with that version.

Just upgraded to Firefox and Log Out still doesn't clear the cookies.

We will be upgrading to a new VB version soon which should likely fix this issue. 1.5 is pretty new so this issue likely was not identified in the past versions of this software. Good heads up because I'm working on the cookie code to show/hide ads to guests or logged out members.

Thanks spark, didn't even know there was a version 1.5. I need to upgrade myself!!

Firefox 1.5 works with Log Out over at Rcg and they're using an older version of VB (3.07) than WF.

Different color themes do not have the same click links in the top two banners and the purple theme does not show the new posts under the private messages like the default color does.

I always log out twice. The first doesn't take.

spark - the 2 themes run off different templates. on the next upgrade I will be able to bring them in sync. try logging out using the default template in case a link differs between the two. the rcg code is vastly different from the 3.5 version of vb so tough to compare due to the rewrites of so much of the codebase. also you could try to manually delete the cookie and then see if login/logout works after that. I think the next upgrade with auto resize image and skype is due out shortly from vb which may also address your firefox 1.5 issue.
