Looks like a bent shaft to me. You can check it by pulling it out and rolling it across a flat surface.

yowzzy I'll say so too:ws:.Check the little grub screws on the side of the shaft for any looseness as well

I've since upgraded to a stronger shaft motor myself http://stores.ebay.com/A1-Hobby-Group_Motors__W0QQ_fsubZ522244011QQ_sidZ864734591Q Q_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em322 (mhtml:{045B34DF-3783-4CF1-9B5C-492F8C9AC318}mid://00000000/!x-usc:http://stores.ebay.com/A1-Hobby-Group_Motors__W0QQ_fsubZ522244011QQ_sidZ864734591Q Q_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em322)

I've had occasional problems with these motors. In an effort to keep the motor from working loose in the mount I sometimes over-tighten the grub screws and distort the bearing which is at the open end of the stator tube. The result is that some or all of the little balls fall out of the bearing and then it gets really sloppy and runs the risk that the shaft could pull out of the motor. Thus far I haven't actually had one come completely apart but I consider myself just lucky.

Here is the link to the motor
I am looking for a better motor that has the same power setup but a little more durable and is still available at hobby city

Thanks Mike

I would upgrade to a stronger shaft. You can get a 'free' one if you have an old CD-ROM drive laying around. The stainless pin that the laser eye slides on is a perfect 3mm shaft replacement.

Once you upgrade the shaft and get it installed, it would be wise to ballance the bell/shaft assembly together. I find that most of the bells on these types of motors are out of ballance. Use that cut-and-kneed type of epoxy putty to ballance the assembly by placing dabs of it on the back ends of the magnets between the magnets and the lip of the bell. Just be sure that no putty sticks up higher than the magnets! I use two razor blades (held vertically with small clamps) as rails sitting on a FLAT table to roll the shaft along.
