View Full Version : My Cessna Is Done!

Thanks everyone for the tremendous education. I ask a ton of questions on the way to finishing this, my first ARF! I hate to be one of those people that posts a build thread without a maiden video, but I was too excited to hold off until I can work out the first flight. The weather here has been windy and nasty for a long time. But soon I hope.

Anyway, here are a few pics. It is a Watt-age C182. It took me about 6 weeks I guess, and I had to tweak so many things along the way (hence the long build time). But it is in flight ready status now.

For the record, it has a E-flite Park 450BL outrunner, an electrifly 35 amp silver series ESC (probably overkill), a Hitec Micro 05S receiver with HS55 servos, and it's powered by a 2200mah Apex 3S lipo. I have no idea how much it weighs, but even if I was sloppy in the build, the outrunner and lipo should have helped keep the weight down compared with the motor/battery combo recommended. I can't remeber the combo now, but I think I will have more power and a slightly lesser AUW!?

Thanks again to everyone that pitched in with advice and answers!! I can't wait to fly her.
