Can't be long before they make a battery powered one. This thing looks absolutely bizzare, and lifelike. The robots are coming!

Creapy! But still kinda cute how it followed that guy around. Won't be sneaking up on anyone with one of those! Looks like the legs are hydraulic, so I think even an electric one might be quite noisy with the whine of a pump. But I suppose if you throw enough money at it, they can make a quiet one. Maybe we're looking at Terminator beta version .01?

The terrain they were on could have easily been handled by a 40's era Jeep. The Vietnamese could do the same thing with a skinny old man, a bamboo stick, and a bicycle.

What the world needs now is not a multi-million dollar electric cow.

Got me thinking. You're right. But when you think more about it, they'll eventually be able to just load them up at base and tell them to "go to Sargeant Smith", and it will do it. Probably other things we haven't thought of. Of course, then you have to worry about the bad guys getting it, so you'll have to weaponize it. Then how do you tell the good guys from the bad? ..... Terminator!

Strange and cool but not too practical, yet.

Well, new technology generally seems to be "mainstreamed" into everyday life eventually. Who knows what's in the near future? It's an interesting time to be alive.

So true, and I'm sure every generation says the same thing too. I'm old enough (and young enough too) to remember when the Walkman was released, and how it was going to change music forever!
