Last fall I bought a battery for a HP laptop I have. I found 3600 mah and 5200 mah batteries. there wasn't much difference in cost, so I bought the larger one, who wouldn't.

Well there is something wrong withe the laptop and it blew some kind of fuse inside the battery. Recently I wondered if I could use the battery cells for a different use and pried the batter case open.

Inside were clearly marked 1800mah batteries in a 2p3s configuration.
But the battery case claims 5200mah 10.8 V

1800 +1800 = 3600 where did 5200 come from?????

Guess I got shafted on that one:mad:
No it wasn't Ebay

This is quite interesting to me since I just purchased a new external battery for my dads personal oxygen concentrator. These are 14.8v 4S2P packs, and are also protected by the computer chip (fuse). Ironically I had the choice of 3600mah and 5200mah and of course I spent the extra money for the 5200mah ($300!)

Now I you have me asking if I really got what I paid extra for lol.
