View Full Version : Old Belarus tractors

Well I have been hunting high and low for an old farm tractor with backhoe and front bucket ....... finally tmrw - I get to look at one and most likely will then become owner of a tractor !

With 3.5 acres of ground ... 200yd long boat channel ... loads of levelling to do in the grounds ... its going to have some work to do.

Just have to then find the suitable side arm grass cutter .. so I can cut the steep banks of my boat channel.

edit : forgot to add ... I know the gear fitted to her is not exactly what I want - but guy has other gear that suits and will sell that as well ... 2300 Euros all in ... in full working order ... !

love the color, reminds me of that blue/green color often seen in cockpits from the older Russian planes.

What are you going to run in that, a 12 cell set up perhaps? :)

Big Boys Toys !

I am now going to imagine all the uses this 'toy' can be put to ....

But first I have to get it home ... 240kms between us ... so I have choice ... drive it for nigh on 6 - 7hrs or truck it at 1 Euro per km ... based on trucks total distance ... about 500 euros.

Yeh - I bet there's no comfortable seat like today's luxury jobs ! Talk about sore a*** at end of it !
Anyway - I forgot - there's a load of extra gear with her that needs to be transported.

The estate and boat moorings - been an ambition of mine since a child. Friend of my father (flew together in Berlin Airlift) had a house in Kingston upon Thames. Lovely house that gardens went down to Thames. He had his Victorian style motor boat tied up there. I loved that place and promised I would have similar. In UK ? If you have to ask price - you can't afford it ! But here in Latvia - it was a steal ..... and with joining EU etc. - value shot up multiplying every year till the crash. Present day she's worth about 10x what I paid in 2004.

Would I sell ? Not even considered !

Beautiful home and property, that tractor will certainly make keeping the grounds in order more fun to do.;-)

It looks like you have such perfect area for quadcopter fpving thru trees and around the house and driveway. I am jealous! stinks living in the most populated and tax burdend area of the US. $10,000 a year just for property tax:mad:50' x 115' yard:blah: it's insane!!!

My wife and I are begining to look into retirement move. Hopefully we can get more yard space, bigger house,by the beach[or pretty close] and of coarse where the dollar goes farther. your place looks great.

We go with truck to collect it today ...

Been out and around looking to see what I can do with it when it gets here.

My canal is low with the heatwave at moment ... yesterday was 30C - with again expected today. So I plan to go swimming with it to dig out channel and place containers for new pontoon.
