View Full Version : Moving on up!

Been flying a honeyBee FP for a couple of months now. My main problem is that its weight (or lack of it) in even light winds, or travelling through thermal layers( Yes, here i the UK at moment we are having a heat wave. getting the FP approx 20ft in the air & it hits a cool layer of air then shoots up/off), has cost me something in the region of over 50 ($90) in spares in the last couple of months. I'm now looking to move up in size & get a CP model. Living in the U.K. near the coast it's always windy, so was thinking of something T-Rex size or larger, but still suitabe for a "learner" Im not wanting to be a 3D god, but want a good stable platform that can handle upto 10/15mph gusts on a bad day. My other problem is cost, daughter number1 has just hit me with weding date, & son number1 is just about to mortage his soul on bricks & mortar- double whammy!! your views please.

You sounded like a Trex450 or MX400. These will handle the wind better than your Esky HB FP.
