    Hi!

Thanks for Your answer and links.
The version is nearly 1,5m wingspan.

Yeah, that repair seems not to be so difficult, but if we find the spare parts that will be even easier!

Thanks again, and hope we can count on Your help if we have any farther questions on that matter :)

    Regards,
    Bartek

    Hi Corsair ...

First what size is the 540 ? As they do various sizes ...

Here is the manufacturers site : http://www.skywing-rc.com/index.php/.../g/e/id/1.html

Here's a Hobby Shop that sells parts ... need to search around there ... https://www.rc-castle.com/index.php?...search=skywing

    Hope that helps.

Looking at the photo in that link - it would be very easy to repair that damage.

    Hi, solentlife!
I'm writing from Poland. I'm a modeler. My friend - also modeler - wrote to me asking for help in finding replacement parts for his wrecked HK Edge 540:

    https://pfmrc.eu/index.php/topic/795...g/#entry744017

Searching the Web he had found Your thread on Your Edge 540. He doesn't speak English well but he deducted from pictures that You managed to get replacement parts to rebuild Your model, the fuselage especially. I know that he desperately needs motor mounting dome with firewall and fuselage sides.

He would like to know where (if anywhere) these parts are or could be available so he could buy them. If You could give him (on my message box) a web address of store or even point direction for through-Web research - that would be greatly valuable.

Thanks in advance for Your any help.
    Regards,
    Bartek

    Hi Nigel,

Sorry for late reply, i've not been on the site much lately. I'm typically using a 3s battery of 2200mAh and a 1000Kv motor with 13" or 14" prop. Motor weight about 150g. 14" works the motor very hard but is just about ok with throttle management

    Nigel,

RE: So now I've swapped out the 2822 Emax 1100kv for a Turnigy 2830 1000kv ... this lets me fit the 11x5.5 prop instead of the 10x6.

Is this the KV you have for all your Emax CF 2822 motors, or do you prefer another value for different planes. I have two of the CF 2822 800kv motors in satisfactory use right now (high wing trainer types), and would like to get a couple more but I'm wondering if there is a more all-around KV that I should consider.

Enjoy your postings and comments, and keep up the good work. The pot needs to be stirred occasionally.

Have you left it on charge for serious time ? Read the instructions ... first charge it needs to be left for ages ...
Second the video records in timed segments ... so if you want to do a long recording. You will find a number of files on the card .. but they all join up perfectly in video editor ...
But it sounds like you haven't given it that really long charge before use.
