I'm a dinosaur. I enjoy designing my own planes (Snafuey, Snafuey II), re-designing glow planes from plans for electric (Carsten plans Demi Duster, RCM Advanced Trainer, Goldberg Tiger), and kit-bashing (Sig Midstar 40 electric twin).

Not a fan of ARF/RTF because I don't like showing up to the field and seeing four planes exactly like mine. Foam planes, IMHO, have no soul.

I believe FPV is causing harm to the hobby. Without FPV, the idiots who like to fly too high, in areas they shouldn't be in, wouldn't be capable of doing so. Even wearing goggles to fly at a field restricts your peripheral vision, and unless you have a spotter, stay on the ground. It's a technology that is too tempting to abuse.
