Hovering involves using all inputs at the same time, throttle, elevator, rudder and alierons. If you are just starting out doing 3D,it's not the thing to start with.A good place to start is a harrier, which is a transition from level flight ,to a slow flying speed with a high angle of attack,as if the plane is dragging with wings level. When learning to hover this is the way to go into one ,from a harrier.Expo is a setting that makes the amount of throw of the control surface less closer to neutral, the more expo the less the control surface will move closer to neutral, and as you move the stick out more the control surface will move exponentially. So what it does is make 3D planes with huge throws easier to control close to center of the stick on the radio. It's something you have to play with ,some people use a lot ,some not so much. It's a personal preferance how much you use, just have to play with it and see what works for you.Hope some of this helped.Another thing you could do is do a serach on each of those things, they would go into much greater detail then I can.

That is an awesome plane. You also have a nice home! I have a katana mini and just put DX7 in it but have not flown. I was wondering if I could pick your brain as how to hover and what expo is all about. Thanks in advance Bruce
