I think I just befriended you, but if I didn't let me know. It's not for lack of trying and as my wife says I can be very trying.

    Happy Friday Don!

Wow 1955-1958? I bet Juneau sure looked a lot different back then! It must have been very difficult to get into RC that long ago since the hobby was so young. I'm surprised you were even able to that far back! Percy's, Thibodeau's, and the Bergmann are still around, but I don't think Juneau-Young hardware is.

People still hunt out in the flats by the airport, but it's getting really crowded nowadays and it's kind of weird hunting so close to city limits. It's been a very mild winter this year here (only two snow falls so far) and I can't wait for the weather to get better! Thanks again for the chat and hope you have a good weekend.

    Hi Don!

Thanks for the message and friend request. I am indeed from Juneau. That's pretty awesome that you were once stationed up here. What year was that? The club has been around for quite a while, so I'm surprised they weren't around when you were up here. I got into RC the same way, except I started with cars/trucks before I got into planes. I mostly RC alone, but it's nice that there is a club here to fly with. The club here only does flying though, and I'm actually more involved in RC cars than with planes.

I'm pretty excited to maiden my T-28! I've put in a lot of time on the Phoenix 5 flight sim, and I'm just waiting for the perfect day! I really love the flying aspect of this hobby and I look forward to learning a lot. It's amazing how accessible RC flying is now and the fact that people can buy these things already built and ready to fly. I hope to get into kit building soon (starting with cars of course). Thanks again for your message!

Thank you for allowing me to play a small part in your build and for sharing your knowledge and techniques with all the others in your threads. It's been my pleasure working with you and now that we know each other, I'm sure DD#2 will go much smoother. Thanks again....looking forward to chatting with you soon... Don
