    Bob,
I think that would work fine. Have to check my calendar but that sounds like a Saturday...not that it matters much since for about 5 days...every day is a Saturday.
Will stay in touch as time gets closer.

    Bob the other,
Well, should be headed that way somewhere around July 2nd and will likely be in the area till around the 6th or 7th.
I did spring for the tower hobbies catalina 53" ws seaplane and will have it pretty much ready to maiden while at Lake Murray for a few days. Will likely bring another plane or two to fly off the turf somewhere. Maybe could hook up for an afternoon flight since there's so much daylight left after 6:00 PM.
    I'll keep you posted.
    Bob thanother.

    Bob,
Yeah, I know, with HTUSA you "pays your dues and takes your chances. Most of them around here cater to rc cars and really don't think much of any other RC group out there. An exception is a store thats about 45 minutes from me here but worth the drive since the owners are both knowledgeable and very much into all of the rc and modeling corners.
I was confused by the Lexington store hours. Called about four times just wanting to get directions. Each time got an answering service that said the call would be returned. When I did find the store it was closed and that was on a Friday afternoon?. I will try that one again since it is only about 6 minutes from my (mother's) house where I have been doing alot of renovations.
I've seen your scratch builds...really impressive. Now that I've finished the Ryan, I have pulled the Fritz 109 out of moth balls to finish it off. Hopefully have it finished before the end of the month.
    Later...Bob
Just realized I sent myself this message....duh!,

    Bob,
Was down in your corner of the world last week. Took three out of the hanger with me thinking I might get a chance to fly somewhere. Not to happen. Did finally locate what looked to be a great place at the fairgrounds inside the main gate and back to the right near some bleachers. Paved parking lot, not many security lights to get in the way and no one around. Since the gate was open I just drove in and looked around, figured I would drive back around 4:00 and spend and hour or so "unwinding". Packed everything up but when I got there the gates had been closed and locked!
BTW what do you do for a LHS...300,000 people in this "burg" and no LHS!

Voy - thank you for the note - I presume you mean my SBD. I took a peek at Crossley's SBD and it is very nice. My SBD is still avail as a laser cut short kit - I think it's $76 with the parts, plans, cowl, canopy, inst. The build article was in FlyRc Jan 06 as a pullout plan.

Hi Bob :) Thank you for the complements on the funjet article, I was surprised when EFM asked me to do a article on my scratch built Funjet, it was fun and i hope people get to enjoy this jet as much as i do, I fly the scratch built FJ more than the original FJ :) its just more enjoyable to me to fly, Take care and have fun, Chellie

Too funny! We are both Bob. LOL. Now if you want a really nice place to fly, you might want to meet me outside the Forest Drive entrance to Fort Jackson (there is a McDonalds that is hard to miss). You could then ride with me (I have a sticker) or you can go in the visitor lane (make sure your proof of insurance, vehicle registration, and your drivers license are with you and ALL up-to-date!). Let me know if you want to do it and send me a PM. We can go from there. The secret place? Hilton Field where the basic trainees graduate! It is fantastic and Saturdays and Sundays it is not in use unless it's Celebrate Freedom (Veterans Day) or July 4th (care to guess what happens then!?). LOL.
