Perfect Decorative Trim on ARFs

1 Attachment(s)
How do ARF manufacturers so perfectly cut and apply large pieces of plastic covering for decorative trim on our models? They often wrap around compound surfaces, so I don't think they are done with decals or silk screening. Consider this picture of an E-flite Leader 480.

Some use printed pre-cut film. There are videos on youtube showing them doing it.

Here's just one of those videos:

This girl is amazing and she's using a freaking clothes iron!

Some models - you can actually buy the replacement pre-printed coverings .... to recover when original gets tatty !

I have cut lettering and other trim things on a vinyl cutter and the used the transfer paper to hold everything in line as it went around a compound curve.
