Is there anyone out there?
Is there someone that i could send my Core R/C UDC-30 charger to, so i can find out if it can be repaired, or if it might be something im doing wrong? As per Nigel i did purchase an IMax B6 charger ,and it will work out fine for me, but i hate to just throw my old charger out if it can be repaired....many thanks!:) Bill

Hi Bill :ws: Most of these lipo chargers are just a throw away chargers, they are cheap one time use items, unless its a high end charger like the cell pros, etc. if its a cheapy china charger, just toss it, it will cost you more in shipping, parts and labor than to just buy another charger, just say a prayer to your old charger, and let it RIP in the round bin :D

Hi Bill :)
Your charger is an Hobby King Accucell 6 clone, a very inexpensive BUT quite reliable charger (I have 2, using them daily over 5yrs this month).
For the price HK wants I would do as Chellie recommends and replace it.

best wishes,

Yep, when a new one cost $23 it's just not worth taking it to the professionals to fix. Any electronics repair shop will charge you $50 just to diagnose the fault, let alone repair it.

If it were mine I'd open it up and see if there was anything obviously wrong that I could easily fix myself. If not, ditch it.

Personally I don't think there are really more than two, maybe three different chargers out on the market. Just look at the various brands/models, The cases may look slightly different and some may come with different accessories, but really every one is the same: four basic function buttons and a simple dot matrix two line text screen. Those that charge more than one battery at a time just have more than one of these redundantly packed in the same box.

I am 99% certain that the electronics (or at least the circuitry design) of all of them are identical.

Chellie, Wrench, JPF, I guess im still a little old school about throwing stuff away...BUT when your right, your RIGHT!;):) Flywheel, after checking out my new Imax B6,(23.00!) i would agree with you, as with the exception of the slightly fancier case....everything appears to be IDENTICAL.....even the type and layout in the manual! Thanks everyone for your your great(as always) advice and input!:)

And here's another clone...

I have an Accucel 6 and until just recently, this Battman B6. It finally gave up the ghost about 6 months ago and I replaced it with another Accucel 6.
The operation of both chargers was exactly the same.

I am so glad I was born in 1937. I got to experience all the " Golden Years " of rc & electric stuff.

Lots of different companies making many hand assembled electronic stuff.

It was great !! Nothing was reliable. Yeah. Good old days.

SUCKED big time.
