Q680 quadcopter HK
Hi,I'm going to build a quad using this frame kit from HK:
Does anyone have any experience with this kit?
I have ordered these motors and esc's:
I would have got the special multi-rotor esc's,but they always seem to be out of stock when i want them:(.Sods law at work again.
This is the control board i ordered:
It seems to be a well liked unit,so i'm hopeful i'll be able to get my quad working well with it.
If anyone has any other suggestions or comments,I'd be grateful.

That is a nice set up. I use similar motors on smaller (350mm, 450mm) quads. The frame you link to is 680mm motor to motor and recommends a larger motor, This may be underpowered but I cannot say for sure.
The ESCs that are flashed with the simonK firmware fly so much better that the ones that are not flashed. It made a big difference with the KK board when I installed flashed escs. I was able to set the gains higher and the quad felt more connected and more stable.
Be careful as these things are addictive.

There seem to be conflicting reports over whether Turnigy plush esc's can be flashed with simon k firmware.Some say yes,some no.
I did find a page where the plush were flashed with some sort of heli program,but i now can't find it.Probably got the name wrong:oops:.

I have now flown(and i use the term loosely:D) my q680.
It's a bit of a learning curve,but i do enjoy it.
