I started with the PNP version back when the DX7 first came out and had radio problems.

I replaced things with the ARF kit and the wing came off.

I'm on #3 now with a repaired DX7 but I use...

Frankenstein Monster MUS

That's what I did too - 3" wheels.

I also tilted the landing gear forward some so it doesn't flip as easy when landing. You just put some aileron balsa or some kind of a wedge under the gear.

I don't know how many flights I have but I'm on the 3rd MUS.

Love the new 480 motor. The PNP 450 just doesn't do it.

I have a spare MUS ready when needed. It was the replacement for the...

Build Review Landing Gear

Don't beef-up the gear too much or you will rip the bottom out of the plane.

I added some glue to the landing gear then later had a hard landing and had to replace the bottom of the plane. I...

AR7000

You put it as far back as you can next to the servos. Then put the satellite Rx further back down inside the tail on the side so it is 90 deg to the main Rx. Since the servo wires come out the end of...

Battery & Stuff

I use a 3s 2100 mAh battery with the Eflite connectors; it's what came with the PNP and it's what I use in everything now. A lot of people use the Dean's (T) connector; be sure to put the bare...

Talking Better Now

I replaced the stock 450 motor with a 480 1020Kv & a 10x5 APC prop.

I can hang on the prop now and the MUS handles much better with the extra power. I started flying it like my foamies.

You can find all the info at Horizon's website:

Arrow MUS Rebuild

eFlite/Horizon sells new shafts for most of their motors. For their smallest motors, the 250 & 180, I used carbon fiber since eFlite does not offer shafts for these.

Before I got my Futaba radio...

APC props don't flutter pulling out of a...
