Good tips there:) I have both, packing strips and regular nylon hinges. Think it’s better than glue/tape. The front with the nose wheel i have to glue back...

My Viper had a minor crash and the flaps on my Eflite Viper came loose. I wan't to use nylon hinges instead the foam attached on the flaps so guess i have to install the hinges low near to the edge...

Yes, it works fine with regular servos. I think i might have connected the retracts wrong first
time around. Horizontal instead of vertical at the connect pins on the tester. Hope they will
work...

Well i didn't. Must be the retracts from the Viper that are dead. Maybe when i swap them with the faulty ones on the Viper they will come "alive"

Why can i not test retracts on my GT servo tester?One retract got burning hot the other worked a little?

Well for the thicker pins at 5 mm to fit the gear i had to drill the hole bigger. And the top end of the nose gear i had to make a new washer to keep the pin in place.

I managed to assemble the nose wheel correct but the mains lacks the switches. Don’t know where to get new boards. The “trunions” are the retract casing, right?

Viper retracts

Anyone tried replaceing these little tiny "switches"
inside a retract servoless thingy? I lost two when i pulled them apart
to install a thicker strut/pin
for the landing gear as well.
