B-47

Hi Ed!

Nope the B-47 never flew. It now belongs to (and is installed in) the Evergreen Air and Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon.

Whatever happened to your B-47?

Cheers,

Dave P.

B-47 Model

Hi Ed!

I did taxi the model on the street in front of my house; I would not call it a 'fast taxi', but it seemed to behave OK.

Yes, the wings are removable.

Cheers,

Blue Foam

Hi fhhuber!

Thanks for the tip! I have used the stuff before (in some other models, e.g., my P6M-2 wing-tip floats - see photo below), and took reasonable care to fill and seal the foam stuff;...

B-47 Grounded

Hi Ed!

As I think I noted before, my B-47 is currently 'hangared' in a downstairs bedroom: the only feasible place to try to fly the model is at the Navy's outlying landing field on Whidbey...

Hi Ed!

That drawing 'fragment' is a new one to me; I have no info on it. Is it possible you might get some help from Boeing Archives?
