Why not just set it up for flaperons? You will need to do nothing mechanical just program the radio, with flaperons programmed in you still have some aileron control when the flap switch is flipped.

My esc is a 20 amp, and my batteries are getting quite hot at wot, I've got a eflite outrunner 910kv 480, I put a 10x4.7 on it and it draws 17.5 amps at wot, and still has 2lbs of thrust.
