So here it is and more than 4 years has passed and I still haven't electrified my Funtana. Now that prices have dropped dramatically I'm revisiting the subject, and I still don't know what to do!...

I would suggest leaning to fly precision aerobatics on a low wing trainer type plane before jumping into 3D, especially if you're going to be flying stick built planes.
