Just make sure its a Brushed ESC ... and not a Brushless ESC - brushless will not work.

The specs should guide you ... look at the max WATTS of the motor you are using and then divide that by the volts you are going to supply ... that gives the max AMP draw you would expect. Take that as your 75% marker for the ESC you should use ...

ie if the motor is 60W .... then 60W divided by (average of 3.7 - 6) 4.9V = 12.24A

A 15 - 20A Brushed ESC is more than enough.
