Hi Ben when getting into the larger planes, you will need to use a 4 or 5 cell lipo at least, because the larger motors have a lower KV, and you need to get them spinning faster with more cells, the 3507-7 towerpro motor will work good for you, its inexpensive and works great, thats what i have in my giant Bi Plane, you can get a series connector and connect 2 - 3 cells together for a 6 cell lipo, and use a 13x6.5 or 15X4 apc prop for lots of power, you have to use lipos that are the same kv and Mah, and the motor is only $27.00, the ESC you listed will work fine, you will need to get a Seperate UBEC, as the ESC does not have it built in, and using 4 cells or more, you need to use a UBEC, 4 amps or better, The servos you listed look to be ok, Look at Larrys Bufy, that would be a nice large plane to start with, Take care, Chellie
