I have both the Magister and the Mentor and am building the Mentor now. It is basically the same airplane with some improvements. I have a Minimag also. What I do is use one 3S 11.1V 2100 mAh Lipo on the MM and parallel two of the batteries on the Magister, as I will do on the Mentor. The Mag flies well with the two batteries for about 10 to 15 min. flying time. I agree with Chellie above and have been thinking of puting the batteries in series. However, since I'm building the Mentor now I want to see how well it performs with the two batteries in parallel. The Mentor is a little bit lighter than the Magister, so it may fly a bit better, although the Mag flies well but not a sport 3D. I also use the Hobby King batteries, the Rhino 3S 2350 mAh LiPo. I have not flown yet with them, it's just getting so we can fly here in Wisconsin once the wind calms down.
