Ahh, American English and British English:

An airfoil (American English) or aerofoil (British English) is the cross-sectional shape of a wing, blade (of a propeller, rotor, or turbine), or sail (as seen in cross-section). An airfoil-shaped body moved through a fluid produces an aerodynamic force.

I know there are a lot of differences ... not only in spelling / meaning of words .. but also in measurements particularly volume ... US vs Imp etc.

Anyway I was just having a bit of Atlantic Fun !!

No problem, I was just having fun also. We have a lady from the UK that attends our church so I know most of the different words. The only one I have a problem is fortnight. I never can remember how many days make up a fortnight. Or would it be how many nights make up a fortnight. Could there be a fortday? Hmmm.

Are there's a question ... its similar to the one : When does the century actually change ....

As far as I was told at school ... many years ago ...

Fortnight is two weeks based on 14 days and 14 nights. There are some who claim that its an expression that can imply 13 nights as it is not a term of following on ..

Ok ... back to ....
