info Anyone convert a 60 size UPROAR to electric?

One of our club members is going to build the 60 size UPROAR for electric looking to help him out for a power setup.

So have any of you converted one to electric and if so what did you use or suggest for a power system.

I was looking at a Eflite 90 with a 80 amp ESC for a system what's your take on a setup as this. This plane calls for a 90 to 1.20 size engine he will be flying it sport/aerobatic. I believe the AUW with a engine is around 9 lbs.

Any quality motor running around 1300 - 1500 Watts or so should do pretty well, giving you 150 Watts per pound. 150 Watts per pound with a reasonable propeller/motor/battery setup will generally perform as well, or better than the glow powered version, just for a shorter flight time.

As for me, I'd plant a $$$$ Hacker A50-??L motor in it.

Perhaps the threads below might help???

(Check out posting #113, that is with a 8S2P A123 pack, just a little more watts that would be provided by a 6S LiPo.)

Note that in the **44686 thread, that Eflite 90 motor was nowhere near its published specifications, at least when this thread was created.
