Default AX new glider.

When I design AX I was thinking on the beginner.
The concept -laser cut and very easy to assemble is the main line of this design.

Some Ax features.
A glider for cheap servos, engine, prop, and radio.
Easy to build sophisticated on appearance.
Light and, and easy to transport.
Easy to fix and repair
Good performance on thigh thermals, flyable in any small place.
Strong and resistant.
Good L/D

Some Ax data
Wingspan -74’”
Wing chord at root 9”
Wing chord at tip 5”1/2
Aspect ratio 8.6
Wing Area 41 dm2
Airfoil HQ 3,0-10 – HQ 3,0-9
Spars rounded spruce 3/16 diam.
Weight empty 10oz (on structure)

Some Ax photos on structure, after more photos covered, and in flight videos.

Hope you like it!

Weight empty 10oz (on structure)

Does this mean that the glider, built and covered, before electroncis, weighs 10 ounces? If so, that is amazingly light. Nice work!

Hi AEAJR

Ax structure weights has follow
Wing- 5,5oz
Fuse 3-oz
Tail group 0,7oz
Push rods and miscellaneous 0,5oz
The balsa for fuse stringers, are very hard 3;16, also the trailing edge.
Wing ribs are in medium Midwest balsa
Coverage, in super Monokote transparent blue (the heaviest part).
Glue, thin CA, and Titebond glue has reinforcement.
Spars, are in Midwest dowels 3;16 diameter spruce, whit vertical grain webbings.

The kit was laser cut in all parts, and Acad designed, this is the worst part in create models.

Cebola,
The AX looks like an amazing glider. You mention in your first post that "the concept is laser cut . . ." Do you have files for laser cutting the parts? Figuring out where to drill all of the holes in the ribs for the dowel spars looks like quite a challenge. I would like to have, at least, the ribs laser cut.
Thanks,
Keith

Looks like a Wanderer! Should be a great flyer.
