I was over in eastern Washington, about 350 miles from my home, at the end of last week. My daughter lives over there.
While we were leaving I stopped at a place called Woodworker's Network. I had seen it a few times and we think this will be the last time over there this year so we stopped. I stumbled into their biggest sale in 30 years of being in business.
They specialize in exotic woods and slabs for fancy woodwork. they also have very good tools. But at some time they bought a Midwest balsa rack and wood, but then found their customers did not buy enough balsa to make the floor space pay for itself.
I bought the entire store display rack and all the balsa in it for $75.00
I just did an inventory and priced it out at today's prices.
The total value of all the balsa is over $1000.00
Also, there are about 50 pieces of Spruce strips that apparently we can not buy anymore as I can find no one that sells them.
All of the wood is in perfect condition and of good quality. 36" length. I have lots of sheets and other sizes.
Now I have enough wood to plans build for the rest of my life. First up will be a Balsa USA, Smoothie XL for my RCGF 35cc engine I won in a raffle.
This has been a great year for me and my models.
