Cool Where do you fly?

Obviously you need a body of water somewhere.
  • Ponds?
  • Lakes?
  • Swimming pools?
  • Big rain puddles?

I have never flown seaplanes. I live on Long Island so I am surrounded by water but I would imagine that more sheltered fresh water locations would be preferred.

So, where do you fly?

Are there such a thing as club ponds?

I fly out of a pond at a local park or farm ponds. Nothing like wading into a pond after flipping a plane worried about snakes and snapping turtles.

Take care and thanks for posting at WattFlyer!!

We have this little lake close by the house. Friend and club mate has a permanent campsite on it and we go fly at his place during the summer. The pretty much drain it over the winter as part of the TVA flood management plan.
