Default Wanted -AP Pilots For the WAA-08 Adventure

The WAA-08 adventure is still looking for AP pilots to take some air to air photos and some ground to air photos of the WAA-08 plane. Videos are always a plus.

If you happen to be close to our route and are willing to help, we'd really appreciate it. Map can be found here.

http://www.deserteaglesrcclub.com/WAA-08/waa-08.htm

Your photos have a chance to get published in the following magazines:

Model Aviation, FlyRC, Park Pilot, Model Airplane News, Air&Space, and Popular Mechanics. I think that's all of them right now. Of course I'm sure there will be a couple more added along the way.

Thanks,

Frank

Thanks Dave, but how can you fly the WAA-08 plane AND do that?

Do you plan on getting someone else to fly her?

Frank

When someone hands it off to him and when he hands it off to someone, there will be two pilots there.

If I get my Solution in the air by the time SQuiRT gets here, I will try some AV when James flies it in Tulsa. Or whoever I hand it off to, or both.

If Dave plans to meet at his field that will work out well then. It would be great to have video and some AP photos in every state, but we didn't get enough volunteers for that. No worries, we are getting some good pics along the way though.

You should have your AP plane flying by then. It'll be quite some time before we make it around to your neck of the woods.

Frank, I do not know if youhave me on your AP list, but I can help out. In fact, any of the guys near me, RCproptester, Yank, HodgeHound, etc... willg et some AP work too. I will leave my camera on the plane for them to get some action with.

I'd be happy to meet up with the pilots in the Finger Lakes area of NY (around Geneva looks like, #66-69) to take photos (AP/V and ground based) if it would help. Sounds like fun! I'm about a 40 min. drive from Geneva. Are you keeping track of all this, Frank, or should I "sign up" officially somewhere?

Thanks,
-Max

WAA-08 bringing RC pilots together.

That sounds like a plan Dave. I hope it works out that way.

Max,

Shoot me a PM with your name, town, zip and email address and I'll add you to our pilot's list so you will be contacted when the plane gets close.

Thanks!

I do not since you are a WAA-08 pilot. Sounds great. The more attempts at video and pics the better.

Thanks,

Frank

Hi Frank,

It's been a while since I've been over here...

I'd almost prefer to shoot AP/AV on this project than fly the actual plane. Is there flexability to do this?

Tim,

Yes there is flexibility. If you'd like to film vice fly, just let me know. I'll add you to the AP list.

Zakstang,

As a matter of fact it does get close to you. There is a pilot in Pine Island. PM me your name and email address and I'll add you to our list.

Thanks,

Frank

Hi Frank,

Yes... Why don't you put me on the AP list. I can, if time permits, film a Mass & NH flight.
Have a look at my latest AP design: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37148

No sweat Tim, I have the list to reflect you as an AP pilot now. Thanks.

Sweet looking AP plane. The Tyro didn't work out for you? Are you still using the Casio?

Thanks Frank.

I'm sticking to foam for AP. The Casio is still up in that 100+ foot pine tree. I'm flying with a Canon SD1000 now. I've been eyballing the Pansonic HD's though.

I hope the WAA plane can make it up here in northern New England before late Fall! Should be able to get some good leaf shots if the time is right.

Oh no, I must have missed/forgot that tidbit. Sorry to hear about your camera. I suspect the Tyro is also? Bummer!

I'm also working on a new AP plane. Hope to finish it up this weekend.

Nope, the Tyro is safe and sound. I lost the Casio late last year on a slow stick.

Yeah, I saw your secret spy photos.

Frank, Liquidity is right. I also have an FCO2 that I'd be happy to put on the plane, and/or I can fly with it on my SS and shoot some video of one of the others flying her.... We do live fairly close, so it shouldn't be a problem.
