Default Turnigy Accucell-6 won't discharge at 1A.

Hi,

I was just trying to discharge a 6S 4000mAh pack with my new Turnigy Accucell-6 device. I set it at 6S, and 1A, but it only discharges at 0,3A. With a 4000mAh pack, new so probably half charged, that takes me 6,7 hours to discharge. Anyone know how to get it to discharge at 1A?

Thanks,

Hugo

You need to download the instructions... you can find them here:

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...CEL_manual.pdf

It downloads fast and it is full of pictures to accompany the text which, sometimes, is not very clear.

Have fun...

No problem to discharge at 1A. As long as the battery nominal voltage is 5V or less...
Specs are: 50W max charge, 5W max discharge capacity.

A new 6S LiPo propably have a voltage of appr 22V. Max discharge rate at 5W is appr 0,25A. The charger can`t handle more.
For charging at 6S you won`t get more than appr 2 - 2,5A.

Ah, OK. Thought is would be something like that, just couldn't find it in the manual.

Well, it seems I'll have to discharge the packs during flight, then. Bummer...
