PinkYak RC,

Lots of places and lots of threads.

What do you want to build? I've built F-22's, an F-15, F4J Phantom II, SU-27, Convair Sea Dart. Plans are all over the place on RCG and RC Universe. Check out Bob's thread here on Wattflyers: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67264

Several plans are on media fire: http://www.mediafire.com/?9aut8jp61e...yqmvk13sx3nqmc

Also Check out www.Mikeysrc.com and www.6mmflyrc.com. You can run a search on RCG and it's likey a build log with plans will come up. Also:

I love the smell of epoxy in the morning !

Reviving an old thread here. I built mine with dollar tree foam. I made a cockpit by cutting 4 more nose peaces and then added the top peaces. Didn't realize after putting it all together that I made the tail 10" too long lol. Oh well, it flies great. I have a 2826 NTM prop drive 1350kv with a 7x5 prop. The video is my maiden with a 1300 3 cell. I'm going to try the 4 cell today. Also have a 3 axis gyro in it. It's a bit heavy at 590 grams! lol. I may order a higher kv motor soon. Sorry the video is so short. More to come!

It Depends on what motor you have, you can use a stick mount, or a flat base motor mount depending on the motor your using, also the plane can be made to accept any motor mount or motor you want with in reason,

Thanks Chellie. With your previously given permission, here's the PDF file of plans for your Alley Cat. I scaled them to 22x33 since that's the largest format that my Microsoft Visio knows about. Everything except one of the two booms fit on that size.

It's scaled to fit on a sheet of DTF. If Visio would permit a larger format I could scale it to fit a sheet of Depron.

To print the plans, open the file with Adobe Reader and select Print. Then select your printer and click on the "Poster" block. Once Poster opens click the "Tile only Large Pages" and make sure the box is checked. Then click on "Print". Tape the sheets together.

Of course, you could always get the full size plans printed at Staples, etc.

I finished mine and have installed everything except the battery. I moved everything pretty far forward, but it's so tail heavy that I can't move the battery far enough forward to balance it.

I set the CG at 13-1/4" from the nose or 6-3/8" from the rear end of the canopy (19-5/8 - 13-1/4 = 6-3/8"). So, what have I done wrong?

BTW, I used doubled DT foam with all paper removed for everything except the stab and elevator. They're 6mm Depron.

Jack

Update:
I used several of the online CG calculators and they all say 8" to 8-1/4" back from the LE of the wing. That would put the CG no where near 13-1/4" back.

What's correct?
