Looks Great, Chellie! Your avatar looks like you're getting ready to go out and paint the town red!

As to the pusher build I can't wait until I'm able to begin a build project like this. We have to move every three years and for now I am stuck with medium to small park flyers and no bench space to build or experiment on.
Anywho, Thanks for the great thread.

Well Chellie that was a bummer reading about your maiden. Get that Hitec receiver in there and give it another try. I'm sure it will be great flier, after all you built it .

Hi James Hi Oimmuk I put a new nose on it put in the hitec receiver, took that junk corona receiver out, installed a 6x5 prop, added a little nose weight and flew it again, It flew PERFECT and SWEET , then I took off the 6x5 prop and put on a 6x6 prop, for more speed, big mistake, my 25 amp ESC shut off during take off, and in it went again, not to bad, but needs a nose Job again :p I am getting good at doing noses OK, so what did I learn today, stay with tried and true electrical hardware, I normally use a 30 amp ESC, but this 25amp esc came with a 2409-12 TP outrunner that I got from united hobbies, and it should have been good enough for a 2408-21, but I guess not, What else did I learn today, I need to quit being Soooo Cheap and invest in a watt/ amp meter anyway, this pusher Jet was my R&D tester, and I got all the bugs out of it now, I know where the best CG is at now, what esc to use, 30 amp, stay away from junk corona receivers, and get a Wattmeter see I learn fast anyway I had a good day today, and I made some bigger tail feathers for my DR1, so I will be testing that out soon, and my F111 is going to be flying soon too, Take Care Everyone, Chellie

Hi Everyone Well i got the bugs worked out of this pusher jets powerplant , electronics and CG it flys SWEET, with fast Barrel Rolls, I will post some video soon and give the CG point after i get the new nose on it I Did a lot of R&D on it today , take care, Chellie

Here is what seems to work the best,
1. a 2408-21 1600kv TowerPro outrunner or a very good quality motor
2. 30 amp ESC, or bigger
3. 6x5 or 6x6 prop A 7x6 cut down to a 6x6 or your preferance
4. 1200 to 1350mah 3 cell lipo 15c rated
5. Hitec or a very good quality receiver
6. 9 gram Towerpro servos or HS65 hitec servos are great too, HS55
might be a little lite for the big ailerons.
7. The CG is 13 1/4" from the nose of the plane back, attach a 4" piece of string to a small screw, at the top of the fuselage, at the CG screw in the string and screw, lift plane with the
string and Check your CG, also check wing tip to wing tip balance, wings should be level, if
not, add a washer to the wing tip that is up, on the bottom with epoxy

Chellie's avatar is creepy lol sweet plane btw, good color choice. If you go to Michaels or some other craft store, they sell clear sheets of 8x10 with a sticky side...great for printing designs on and slapping them on your plane. The next time I put togeather an open-structure balsa plane, I will try using it as a covering alternative
