Default German Flying wings

I did do a search, but nothing there. I also tried to PM a gentleman on this forum by the name "Heiner", based on his extensive thread on the HO229, but I have not posted enough to be able to do it.

So my question is: Has anyone here had experience with this company:

nurflugel-modeltechnike.de

The Horten Colibri 10

I am very interested in purchasing this kit, but I've sent an email a while back, with no reply. I am planning on sending another email in German, (have friend who speaks it), but I'm trying to see if anyone else has anything to say about it.

Thank you

Hi, If purchasing from overseas use paypal, if the shipment is lost, you will get your money back, this company takes Paypal, and the site is in English, Hope that helps, Chellie

Default German Wings?

Hello Galognu, Welcome to Wattflyer!
I'm not familiar with the company you posted a link to. However, here's another source of kits and plans for the Horten wings, as well as Northrop;
http://www.bellimelgroup.com/products.htm
Good Luck!

I saw that site, but it seems more complicated as I'd have to find a place that laser cuts the kit, and not sure how difficult a build it would be with my somewhat limited experience. The German wing is built on a jig, as may be the bellimelgroup one. What I really would like to have is some communication with the guy in Germany, and will have to have my friend email him.

Thank you.

I did get one.

However, coupled with my recent move, new job, and complexity of the project, I think it will be some time before I get to it. The CD has tons of pictures, but no English translation. I spoke to a gentleman in Australia that offered to help me along with the build, but for the above reasons, it may have to wait till winter.

I am in the process of building 2-3 other EPP wings from Ohio Combat. One will be for speed, on 4s, and the other will be a sloper. I also have an EDF wing in the process of getting power kinks out. You can see that here:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...light=edf+wing

I'm still fascinated by the Horten design, and I do plan on building it, it will just be a very involved build.

I found this other one that even looks more complicated, but its AWESOME:

Will try to keep an update.

I cannot find the colibri on their site anymore. The horten IV is an amazing looking aircraft. i'm currently working on a 'hortenish' looking motor glider a similar shape to http://public.fotki.com/alari/flying_wing/

You have to look under the German language site. For whatever reason if you try to look at in in English, the Colibri 10 does not show.
