Have above Revolectrix unit for years and their power pack - charged every thing to Lipo Auto charge all this time - simple
batteries I use for R/C sailplanes.
Unit and my 3 cell TP lipos have been in storage/dormant since early fall - went to update Storage Charge and get “Bad Cell Count error.
Same cables/modules I’ve used for several years that worked perfectly.
Is the unit shot and a throw away now that they are out of business?
Is there anyone serviceing the PL6?
Is there a way to manually tell unit to look for 3 cells only.
If useless, who makes a great replacement unit, ideally one that I can at least use the power pack for the Powerlab would be nice, but not essential.

I'm not deep into the electrical aspects of the charger, so that is a handicap.
Fly RC gliders all my life only.
Just want to plug in a lipo and have it charged. Never messed with all the variables in the PL6, and really don't want to.
I did find that the PL6 will see 3 cells but only in setting 11 on the menu AND then it seems the 3 cells, says it is charging but 2.36 minutes later there is no change in the lipo charge when I check it.
All parts are factory units.
All my 5 batteries are TPower and 3 cells. I have 3 charging boards and all give the same error.
Last I charged I connected 2 boards and charged 2 batteries at a time in Balance mode. I'll try that later as on of the post suggested in your suggested threads. And thankf for the suggestion of those threads.

Hi Don,
I have been 100% satisfied with it since I bought it years ago, until last week, but doesn't offer service on the units?
I'm down to 12 KB on the file sizes, jpg. 9,777 bytes (12 KB on disk)

Oh my, I'm sorry you're having photo issues. If you have time, submit the issue on the Support and Suggestion forum. I'll reach out to IB too. Wonder if the buyers of Cellpro went out of business too? I'm not seeing them in a search.

I always used the default "Presets" on the PL6 until the last time when I charged multiple batteries at the same time since I have 3 of their charging boards.
I wonder if I screwed up a setting when I did that?
I am retired for many years, would you have time to review with me how your settings are on your unit and I could the review mine at the same time with you?

Found the problem - and annoyed I did not find it earlier.
If you get the same error, be sure to double check the socket on their charging board. The 2S and the 3S are the same fitting, just one is for 2 cells (which I had been plugging the connector on the TPower battery to) and the one identical but above it is for 3 cells!
Stupid mistake, but I have been away from the sport since before covid hit all of us.
I do appreciate the comments.

Thank you Don for those kind words.
I'm now going through my 3 sailplanes cleaning them up, checking all fittings, etc.
Expect will be up in the air one day next week when I get time to drive over to the nearest club field that I need to renew my membership at today, along with AMA.
I hope in the future if someone has the same problem this thread will be found in a search and save them a lot of time that it took me to find such a simple solution.
Be well,
Jack
