That looks incredible. What do you estimate your top speed to be on that thing?

Thanks for the tip about GPS data loggers, I found one on Ebay that weighs only 15 grams. I will study them and get one when I can.

Yeah, they're not heavy. Mine came in a blister pack.. kinda has rounded side edges on it and flat along the long edges.

I've gotta open it up and get on it because I have a flying wing with a 6040 on the back, 2 ft wingspan.. keeps up with the gas stunt planes at the field. I'd love to know how fast it is.

Oh yeah that's crazy fast! it's hard to tell in the video but it looks and sounds like I'd be keeping up with you. I bet if you stuffed a 4s in there you'd break some records with it!

By the way, where did you mount the fpv cam for recording?

Oh my, I have trouble flying at 100 klm. Mostly I fly 70 - 80 klm.
That is a nice looking little rocket there.

One of the biggest problems is to get a speed that is not falsely reported from a dive. Many of the so-called high speed videos on Youtube are in reality not so good for that fact.

Second GPS loggers record GROUND SPEED .. so need a run WITH and AGAINST wind so the two are averaged out to find actual air-speed.

I use the Eagle Tree Pitot sensor which measures airspeed and therefore a single run in any direction is correct.

yes but the GPS measure the ground speed and altitude , with this two information you can calculate the distance travelled as a function of time and calculate the real speed but for sure not the airspeed, you are exact only Pitot sensor gives real airspeed

Airspeed is easy ... just fly with full throttle WITH wind ... and then turn 180 degrees full throttle AGAINST wind ...

Add two speeds together .. divide by 2 = airspeed.

GPS is actually one of my former career subjects and is also an important part of my other hobby - yachting / charting.

Almost looks like the Cuda. 275km/h or 165 mph is crazy fast. Figure our field is about 600 ft between tree lines. Your plane would cross our field in just under 2.5 secs. Wham, Bam thank you Ma’am !

Is that a kit or a scratchbuild? I like an adrenaline rush from time to time and have a few +100 mph planes, mainly edf’s but some prop planes too.

Go faster and do more damage ! Lol

Very cool indeed. For sheets and grins, I ordered something that looks similar from HK. About USD $20.00 . It won't go nearly as fast. Maybe half as fast.
